Danelectro DC59M NOS Modified Spec (Back To Black) Overview
The Danelectro DC59M, a stalwart of the Danelectro range since the late fifties, used by a plethora of artists through the years including Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Mark Knopfler, comes with the modern (hence the M suffix) tuneable, die cast bridge for improved intonation, and of course the classic dual Lipstick® pickup configuration - but with a interesting twist!Recently, Danelectro found a large amount of the Lipstick® pickups they misplaced 15 years ago... and after giving them a listen Danelectro realised they had even more twang and classic bite - whether this because of the subtly aged magnets, or the changes in material used over the years we're not really sure sure, but for whatever reason these things sound great!
