The Earthquaker Devices Night Wire is a lush and versatile harmonic tremolo. By splitting the signal through a high and a low pass filter and modulating it with a 180-degree-split LFO the Night Wire can be adjusted from the centre point of both filters for a huge range of tones. Earthquaker Devices have given the Night Wire 3 operating modes: Manual, LFO and Attack. Manual mode lets you set the centre point to a fixed position with the frequency control, while in LFO mode the filters are continuously swept, turning the frequency control into a speed control. Attack mode dynamically sweeps the filters according to your pick attack and the frequency knob works as a range control.For further control over your tremolo, the Night Wire has two tremolo modes: Manual and Attack. In Manual mode you control the speed of the tremolo with the rate control, while in Attack mode, as in the filter section the tremolo is controlled by your picking dynamics. By setting the depth control to zero, the Night Wire works like a fixed filter, phase shifter or envelope controlled filter depending on which you've selected. A cut/boost control also adds a little control over your volume.
