The ESP LTD EX-401FR is an aggressive-looking modern axe that is perfect for metal. The mahogany body is satisfyingly weighty and gives the EX-401FR a sweet resonance, while the maple neck with its rosewood fingerboard is incredibly playable. An EMG 60 in the neck position and EMG 81 in the bridge is a classic combination of high output, mid-heavy consistent tone that loves distortion.
