The Gibson USA 2016 Les Paul Standard HP (High Performance) is the pinnacle of Gibson craftsmanship, a guitar at the cutting edge of technological advancement and a testament to this iconic instrument's history. Gibson have given the 2016 Les Paul Standard HP a number of features that make it such a groundbreaking model. A set of next-gen G-Force tuners automatically tune the guitar when you strum the strings- with pin-point accuracy. They also give you access to a number of open tunings at the touch of a button, meaning gigging guitarists don't need to change guitars between songs. You can even create custom tunings and save them as presets- making the 2016 Les Paul Standard HP a force to be reckoned with in terms of versatility.

The 2016 LP Standard HP has a wide "solist" neck profile that makes lead playing easier, the wide fretboard allows for extreme bends and fast runs. To accommodate for this style of playing, Gibson have also changed the heel. This new fast-access heel makes it easier to reach all the way up to the 22nd fret. Gibson have made less obvious changes as well. Components have been adjusted for optimum efficiency; the toggle switch and input jack have been made sturdier, quieter and more reliable, while the titanium zero-fret adjustable nut lets you set intonation with pin-point accuracy.
