Guild F-1512 Overview

The Guild F-1512 is everything that Guild is famous for in one guitar: twelve string and jumbo guitars. The F-1512's large, rounded body combined with its 12-string construction gives you a full-toned, impressively voiced acoustic instrument. Guild have given the F-1512 a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, and a mother-of-pearl rosette. This model also has a 1 7/8" nut width on a vintage shaped Guild neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard, and Guild's new lightweight polyfoam case. A Guild 12-string was my Dad's prized possession when I was a kid. He trusted me to carry it to the car one winter, but I slipped on the ice and smashed it to bits. We were both mortified. 40 years on, and I've finally managed to replace it for his 70th birthday. It needed to be perfect, and it hasn't let me down. A truly beautiful instrument, rings out with a bright yet warm breadth of tone, long reverb and no fret noise. Very comfortable and positive action on the fretboard, and - for a twelve string - surprisingly easy to pick. I may be back in the will after all, now!
