Part of Ibanez's concept guitar range, the Artcore Series, the Ibanez AEW22CD-NT Electro Acoustic Guitar gives both the style and the substance that they are known for.

The Ibanez AEW22CD-NT brings traditional and modern guitar tonewoods together, with its combination of a spruce top and cordia back & sides. The spruce top gives you a classic, detailed acoustic tone and dynamic response, along with exceptional projection. It also provides the pleasing, bright colouring of a classic acoustic guitar. This joined by the more exotic back & side wood, cordia. A deep, reddish brown colour with distinct black lines, this wood type provides a high contrast to the top. It also contributes plenty to the tonal palette of the Ibanez AEW22CD-NT, with its emphasis in the bass resulting in a big sound.

Along with its alternative wood combination, the Ibanez AEW22CD NT looks even more unique with it's severe cutaway, which along with giving easy access to the upper register, also brings an additional design aesthetic to the guitar. The body also benefits from multi-wooden binding, which continues at the headstock. It is also stylised with a cordia/spalted maple/rosewood marquetry rosette at the soundhole.

For amplified sound, the Ibanez AEW22CDNT comes equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp. Not only does this addition give you the ability to hook up to an amplifier or PA system but it also offers sound and tone controls straight from the upper bout of the guitar, along with a handy onboard tuner.
