Ibanez SR1206-VNF (Vintage Natural Flat) Overview
The SR Premium is the Ibanez bass made for the working pro. Building on many of the Prestige's high-end appointments, this SR is crafted by Ibanez's designated Premium facility. A solid Mahogany body has Ovankol top lamination giving the bass a premium feel along with a strong presence. Featuring super-smooth hand crimped frets, the premium fret edges are processed to be specially rounded for smooth play and comfortable neck grip.Electronics-wise the built-in-the-USA NordstrandGäó "Big Single" pickups cram as meaty a single coil as can fit in a soapbar style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single coil pickups. Also the EQBIIISC is a customized 3-band EQ and a dedicated preamp for NordstrandGäó pickups for further pure and wider frequency response. This preamp system is equipped with an EQ bypass switch and a mid-frequency select switch(250Hz or 600Hz). And the Mono-Rail IV bridge are just some of the features that set this instrument in a class far exceeding its reasonable price.
