Yamaha MSR400 Active Loudspeaker Overview
The Yamaha MSR400 Powered Speaker is an active bi-amped two-way speaker cabinet, using a 225W amp to power the 12? woofer and a 75W amp to power the 1.75? compression driver. Traditionally, much of the work in putting together a high-performance sound system involved getting the proper components and getting them to work together optimally, especially matching the proper power amplifier with your speakers.Yamaha has taken a lot of the guesswork out of the process with the introduction of their MSR400 powered speakers. With a frequency range of 50Hz to 20kHz and a max. SPL of 121dB, the Yamaha MSR400 can really fill a room.
The Yamaha MSR400 accepts nominal input levels ranging from mic level 36 dB to line level +4 dB, so you can directly connect any source from microphones to professional line-level gear. Three parallel connections are available, two balanced XLR connectors and one balanced TRS phone jack, that can be used as either inputs or parallel outputs.
The Yamaha MSR400 also features an input level control for matching with the source signal. Low and high EQ controls can be used to adjust the respective bands over a plus-or-minus 3dB range.
