The Taylor 614CE Electro Acoustic Guitar is a brand new model for 2015. Taylor have created a number of tone-enhancing modifications to get more warmth and richness out of the wood: the back bracing has been specially designed to get the best out of the maple. The spruce top has undergone an innovative process called torrefaction, where the wood is roasted, which gives it an aged voice with greater warmth and depth of sound- like a vintage acoustic.

Extreme attention to detail and mindfulness of every component of the 614CE is what sets it apart from other guitars at this price. Protein glues maximise tonal transfer between wooden components, while the ultra-thin gloss finish minimises dampening. The hand-rubbed "Brown Sugar" stain doesn't add any thickness to the guitar, but gives it a classic look. Other features include ivoroid wing inlays, inlaid ebony backsrap, ebony binding, ebony/ivoroid rosette, striped ebony pickguard and Taylor's famous Expression System 2. Hard case included.
