Taylor 618e Electro Acoustic Guitar (Brown Sugar) Overview

The Taylor 618E Electro Acoustic Guitar is a new model for 2015 from Taylor. The Grand Orchestra body is wonderfully resonant thanks to its special bracing designed to maximise the natural sweetness of its maple back and sides and torrefied spruce top. Torrefication is the process of gently roasting the spruce to give it the tonal properties of a much older instrument. An ultra-thin gloss finish and specialised protein glues mean there is are as few parts as possible that will dampen the 618E's sound. The hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain gives a vintage look to this thoroughly modern guitar. Other features include grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with ivoroid purfling, an ebony/ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, along with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics.
